No-rise Pizza Dough

I can make a pizza from start to finish in 30 minutes using this quick and easy dough recipe. Its one of my favourite Friday night dinner options, and my friends love it. But I’ve also made bacon and egg breakfast pizza using this simple crust.

I have a round pizza pan with holes in the bottom that makes it nice and crisp. Quicker, healthier and better than ordering in!

For toppings, you can use whatever you like, but as a tip – salsa makes a great sauce if you don’t have any pizza sauce or marinara in the house.

Ingredients:

2 1/4 cup all purpose flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup warm water
1 tablespoon olive oil
dash of salt

Directions:

Using a rolling pin, roll the dough out to the size and shape of your pan. You will use a bit more flour to put under the dough and one the rolling pin before you start rolling.

Add your toppings, and bake for 15-20 minutes at 425 degrees.

Yields 1 large pizza.

Oh, that’s great! I’ve always used a scone dough made by cutting in butter – but of course you can use olive oil instead for a pizza! Why didn’t I think of that? Could probably even use a nice flavoured one – now of course I’m going to have to try it…
