Impossible Cheeseburger Pie


1 lb. ground beef

1 1/c cup chopped onion (or less)

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp pepper

1 1/2 cup milk

3/4 cup Bisquick®

3 eggs

1 cup shredded cheese (4 oz)


Heat oven to 400°F. Lightly grease 10 inch pie plate.

Cook & stir beef and onions until brown. Drain.

Stir in salt & pepper. Spread beef in pie plate. Sprinkle with cheese.

Beat remaining ingredients until smooth – 15 seconds in blender at high speed.

Pour into pie plate.

Bake until golden brown and knife inserted in centre comes out clean – about 30 minutes.

Let stand 5 minutes.

Note: if using a 9 inch plate, decrease milk to 1 cup, Bisquick® to 1/2 cup, and eggs to 2 eggs.

    Made this tonight! Added sautéed mushrooms and hot pepper flakes for something a little bit different. Also threw in an extra egg and a splash of milk because I used a larger dish. Always a crowd pleaser!
