Banana Bread


This simple recipe makes a perfect loaf every time.

Mix together:

1 cup granulated sugar
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup mashed banana
1/2 cup nuts (optional)
2 eggs

Bake at 325-350°F for 1 hour.

If the edges start to brown before the bread is cooked, I put tinfoil on top to keep it from getting too brown on top.
