This is our favourite birthday cheesecake.
1 1/4 cups chocolate wafer cookie crumbs
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup margarine or butter, melted
1 8oz package cream cheese, soft
1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
2/3 cup chocolate flavoured syrup
1 tbsp hot water
1 cup whipping cream, whipped
In small bowl combine cookie crumbs, sugar and margarine (butter). In buttered 9″ springform pan, pack crumb mixture firmly on bottom.
In large mixer bowl beat cream cheese until fluffy, add sweetened condensed milk and chocolate syrup. Add to condensed milk mixture and mix well. Fold in whipped cream. Pour into pan. Cover with foil and freeze for 6 hours.
